The controlled growhouse environment of the Commercial GROW Tunnel allows for more efficient farming operations, reducing crop losses to pests, providing a longer growing season and higher yields than exposed field farming, protection from wind-borne diseases, pathogens and spray drift. The Commercial GROW Tunnel also provides an easier transition to organic farming practices, or can be used for large-scale hydroponics, nurseries or seedling propagation, microgreen operations and so much more.
The integrated rainwater collection guttering, spanning the length of the Commercial GROW Tunnel provides a closed-loop system, enabling growers to harvest water to replenish their crops.
You can also choose to make your GROW Tunnel completely self-sufficient and automate your growing system, with optional extras including solar power integration, motorised accessories and sensor technology.

Meaning that all the outdoor crops can be grown under the protection of a GROW Tunnel, helping to reduce the loss of crops to the weather.

Due to growing in a protected environment, there should be a reduction in inputs as there will be less leaching of nutrients compared to outdoor production and by having a physical barrier, pests and weed seeds will be greatly reduced, requiring less inputs for weed and pest control.

The main consideration in a GROW Tunnel is humidity, which can be increased by overhead watering. The majority of growers opt for a drip or micro sprinkler type set up if soil based or a hydroponic system if not.
