Yes! The Mini GROW Tunnel is specifically designed for backyard gardeners and growers working with smaller spaces. At 4 metres wide, with lengths starting from 5 metres, our smallest tunnel provides 20m² of protected growing space.
Its 2-metre-high straight sidewalls maximise usable space, making it suitable for garden beds, vertical growing and comfortable access. Before choosing your size, consider space for paths, access around the structure and future growing plans. You can read our blog on planning your backyard garden here.

The best size depends on your available space, how much food you want to grow and how you plan to use the tunnel.
Our Mini GROW Tunnels are 4 metres wide and available in lengths from 5 to 49 metres, in 2-metre increments.
A smaller 4m × 5m tunnel may suit a compact backyard or beginner garden, while a 4m × 9m or larger tunnel provides additional space for raised beds, seedlings and a greater variety of crops.
Not sure where to start? Our team can help you work out the most practical size for your growing goals.

You can grow a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers in a Mini GROW Tunnel throughout the year.
Popular crops include tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicums, lettuce, spinach, Asian greens, strawberries, beans and fresh herbs.
Many backyard growers use vertical trellises for climbing plants and succession planting for leafy greens to make the most of their available space.
The best crops and planting times will depend on your local climate and seasonal conditions. Read our beginners guide to growing your own food here.

Like any greenhouse or polytunnel, internal temperatures can rise significantly during hot, sunny weather.
The Mini GROW Tunnel is designed with full-length roll-up sidewalls and insect-mesh ventilation to help improve airflow and release excess heat.
Optional internal shade netting and ventilation equipment can provide additional control during summer.
In particularly hot Australian climates, our Mini Shadehouse may be another option worth considering.

Council approval requirements vary across Australia depending on your location, tunnel size, zoning and local planning regulations.
Some structures may qualify for exemptions, while others may require development approval or additional engineering documentation.
GROW Tunnels can supply relevant engineering and footing information to assist with your application where required. It is the property owner's responsibility to confirm local building and planning requirements before installation.

A Mini GROW Tunnel is designed for long-term use, but regular maintenance helps protect your investment.
We recommend periodically inspecting the frame, cover, fixings, sliding doors and roll-up sidewalls, particularly after severe weather.
Keeping the cover clean, maintaining ventilation mechanisms and checking for wear can help extend the life of your structure.
The Solarweave cover and other components can be replaced when required, without needing to purchase an entirely new tunnel.
